Established in 1985 by current owner James O'Reilly. who started out as a promoter in the early 80s organising 60’s soul music events until a bizarre twist of fate forced him down the Mobile Disco road. Slowly but surely bookings increased and by carefully selected delegation they continued to increase as his and his company’s reputation spread. As the network of entertainers grew so did the volume of work and by 1990 the Karaoke & Live Music side of the business were a welcome addition to his loyal customers. Before too long Essential Entertainments had a good number of quality DJ's on their books plus numerous Bands, Magicians, Tribute Acts & Comedians and as such were very soon established as a company to be relied upon and the bookings rose to over 50 a week in 2000 and have continued to grow. The company now boasts much more varied entertainment than in its early days but its success has been built on only recruiting and working with people who share James passion for their individual craft whatever that may be. Our client base at present boasts many of London's and the Home Counties finest establishments although one of our many strengths is our ability to select the rigt package and the right fee for our diverse range of budget and high profile clients including wealthy individuals and celebrities including recently Her Majesty The Queen. DISCOS & DJ’sEvery DJ works in smart attire and uses state of the art sound and light equipment, all equipment is either Das, EV or JBL, flight cased to the highest standard, with special effect lighting units on stands. We encourage our clients to send us play-lists and recommend where they can go and see the DJ/Compere perform before booking them. We also take it in turns to have weekends off so in the unlikely event that a staff member became unwell or injured one of our "spare" equally competent team would cover. GUARANTEED ! KARAOKEAll comperes have over 3000 songs in their books with everything from Sinatra to Shaggy! Equipment is flight cased and of the same brand as the DJ's. Furthermore, with the recent advances in MP3 technology we now have a handful of our team using sophisticated computerised Karaoke systems enabling us access to a whole multitude of different yet popular songs. a top of the range computer Karaoke system will comfortably boast 30-40 thousand songs. So are we extremely confident when stating there is "something for everyone". All Staff are very experienced and have good "People Skills", even the younger members have to work with a more experienced DJ or Karaoke Host for 2 years minimum before they are allowed out on their own! LIVE MUSICAll of our Live Acts perform at pubs, clubs and hotels around our area. They include a fantastic Crooner, Superb female vocalist Jazz singer, wonderful Jazz Trios, and many superb and very professional party bands and duos. Plus a host of specialist tribute acts. FUN CASINOOur Casino tables are either original or 80% scale replicas made to the highest quality and come complete with authentic hardwood legs. All tables are supplied with chips, fun money and croupiers. These evenings make excellent fund raisers by simply selling instead of giving away the fun money – we have found these to be extremely successful and great fun every time. All croupiers have experience from Casinos around the world, and like all our staff, are Prompt, Polite and Professional at all times.
